Why 25 degrees matters

A flat laptop keyboard forces your wrists into a 5-degree downward angle. Extended sessions at that angle build progressive strain in the flexor tendons — the same tendons that cause repetitive strain injury. A 25-degree tilt neutralises the wrist angle, raises the screen 18mm closer to eye level, and creates an airflow gap under the chassis that reduces peak CPU temperature by up to 6 degrees Celsius under sustained load.
