An aluminum laptop riser with a recessed cable channel built into the rear spine. Cables feed through the base, exit at the back, and disappear entirely from the front view. Set your laptop on it, route the cables once, and the desk stays that way.

The build

The riser is cut from 6061 aluminium alloy — the same alloy grade used in MacBook enclosures, with a yield strength of 276 MPa. The base weighs 480g, which is enough to prevent movement when you pull a cable or remove your laptop one-handed. The open-base design creates a 40mm gap under your laptop, which reduces peak chassis temperature by measurable degrees under sustained CPU load by restoring the airflow the flat desk surface was blocking.
